Mcnex said on Monday that it has won an order from Hyundai Motor to supply camera modules for 30 car models that will launch from 2023 onward.
The camera module maker will supply its goods for use in surround view monitoring and advanced driver assistance systems.
Mcnex was registered as a tier-1 supplier of Hyundai Motor last year.
It supplied through Hyundai Mobis prior to that.
A Mcnex spokesperson said it has won orders with a combined worth of 1 trillion won in the past year.
It has won contracts to supply cameras for use in in-cabin cam, build-tin cam, SVM, rear cameras and others, they said.
These orders will be reflected in its earnings starting in the second half of 2022.
Mcnex said it expects more orders as more camera modules are used in cars from the addition of autonomous driving capabilities.
