
Nextchip said on Tuesday that it has received the ISO26262 Functional Safety Management (FSM) certificate from production certification firm Exida.
Nextchip said it can now develop semiconductors that meet Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) requirements.
The firm said it has been preparing for FSM process that meets ISO2626 standard since 2017, before securing the actual certification.
ISO26262 is a ISO defined standard on functional safety of vehicles.
More automobile firms are requiring parts suppliers to supply goods that meet the standard.
