Camera lens firm Haesung Optics and camera module inspection equipment maker isMedia will collaborate in developing expanded reality (XR) devices and contents, the pair said on Wednesday.
They will also collaborate to make inspection equipment more sophisticated.
A Haesung spokesperson said it will use its expertise in lens and camera module development and production to upgrade isMedia’s inspection equipment.
The pair was hoping for collaboration with Facebook’s virtual reality subsidiary Oclus, they said.
Meanwhile, isMedia is planning to name Randi Zuckerberg, the sister of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, as a non-executive director. She will act as a special advisor to isMedia.
Randi Zuckerberg is a CEO of a company that develops non-fungible token (NFT) platform.
