AI performance increased by 43%

Apple unveiled its latest application processor on the new iPhone 13 series A15 Bionic.
The chip was manufactured using TSMC’s 5-nanometer (5nm) process.
A15 Bionic has over 15 billion transistors, 27% more than its predecessor A14 Bionic.
The new chip has two high performance cores and four low power cores.
The chip on iPhone 13 Pro will have five GPUs, while the other models will have four GPUs.
A15 Bionic also has a neural engine with a total of 16 cores that can handle 15.8 trillion operations per second, 43% higher than its predecessor.
This supports machine learning and camera live text on iOS 15.
Cache memory has also been doubled.
A15 Bionic will also be on the new iPad Mini.
