With 14nm EUV tech

Samsung Electronics said on Tuesday that it has developed its first LPDDR5X DRAM.
It used its 14-nanometer (nm) extreme ultra-violet (EUV) multi-layer process to develop the mobile DRAM, the company said.
It used EUV on five of the layers which increased productivity for the chips, Samsung said.
The LPDDR5X DRAM offers up to 8.5Gbps speed, which is 1.3 times faster than LPDDR5’s 6.4Gbps.
Power efficiency has also been increased 20% compared to its predecessor, Samsung said.
The company developed its first 8Gb LPDDR5 DRAM in 2018. Samsung said it plans to offer LPDDR5X in 16Gb and offer it in a 64GB package.
