South Korean battery cathode maker EcoPro said on Wednesday that it has acquired a stake in GEM’s nickel operation in Indonesia.
EcoPro will acquire a 9% stake in QMB, GEM’s subsidiary in Indonesia, which is planning to start producing nickel materials during the second half of the year with a capacity of 50,000 metric tonnes.
EcoPro and GEM’s contract is a long-term, open take open to further agreement of purchase orders, EcoPro said.
