Fab equipment maker Jusung Engineering has hired a well-known executive who previously worked at SK Hynix as its head of sales.
Lee Sang-sun, who was previously vice president at SK Hynix, has been named vice chairman of sales of the fab equipment maker.
Lee, 61, held key positions in the South Korean memory chip maker in production and fab technologies prior to joining Jusung Engineering.
He was named the head of manufacturing and technology by SK Hynix in 2016 but left the company in 2019, taking responsibility for the poor earnings of that year.
Fab equipment accounted for 83.7% of Jusung Engineering’s revenue last year. SK Hynix is one of its major customers and Lee’s previous tenure there is also expected to help the two companies their strong relationship.
