Dry vacuum pump firm Lot Vacuum is conducting quality tests for its equipment with two global chip companies, TheElec has learned.

One is an overseas foundry company and another is a memory chipmaker.

These quality tests started last year and Lot Vacuum is expected to win the companies and customers though the order won’t be big, sources said.

Lot Vacuum manufactures vacuum pumps used in chambers during the production of chips and display panels.

As of 2022, equipment for chips accounted for 51% of its revenue followed by solar panel’s 42% and display panel’s 3%.

Lot Vacuum has won new customers for its solar panel in China recently but its main revenue sources are still Samsung and SK Hynix.
