Nain Tech was developing and researching a film for use in solid electrolytes.
The company’s affiliate Energy11 told TheElec that the research was going smoothly and that it is aiming to launch the product next year.
The film aims to be in solid-state batteries that use oxide hybrid solid electrolytes instead of traditional separators.
Nain Tech is the second largest shareholder of Energy11 with 15.32% of shares.
Energy11 is aiming to begin sales of the film in October next year. It is preparing the film to be 100 micrometers in thickness but is aiming for this to go down to 50 micrometers in the long run.
Nain Tech is planning to develop the production equipment needed for the film.
Energy11 is also developing sodium batteries aimed at energy storage systems.
