LG Group chairman Koo Kwang-mo has asked employees to create a “culture of bold challenges” in an address made late Thursday at one of the conglomerate’s key facilities in Seoul.
“Not doing anything, not boldly challenging can be seen as a failure,” he said to mark the second anniversary of the opening of LG Science Park at Magok, Seoul. The park is a research complex that houses researchers from LG affiliates.
“Make a culture of bold challenges,” the chairman said. LG Corp, the holding company of LG business group, said in a statement Friday that Koo was asking employees to lead in digital transformation and artificial intelligence to provide customers with new values.
Earlier this month, Koo visited LG Chem’s plant in Daesan, asking executives and employees to rethink safety following a string of accidents at its plant this month.
