Deal worth 3 billion won
Justem said on Monday that it has supplied roll-to-roll equipment used in lithium-ion battery production to a Japanese battery equipment maker.
The South Korean company will supply its roll-to-roll equipment used in the electrode process.
This was in addition to the aging equipment used in the formation process that the Japanese customer already ordered back in March, Justem said.
The deal is worth 3 billion won and the South Korean company will provide one unit later this year for quality testing before supplying more.
Justem said its roll-to-roll equipment can heat up the electrode and then remove water and impurities in sequence.
The South Korean equipment maker has previously supplied moister remover for chip production.
