SK Telecom’s board approved to buy 500 billion won worth of treasury stock, the company said on Friday.
The carrier owned 7.6 million share, or 9.4% stake, of its own shares prior.
SK Telecom said it has been rearranging its portfolio to include media, security and commerce businesses for the past three years and expected growth in the areas starting this year.
