Ex-SK Hynix engineer named KVTS CEO
Semiconductor component and material firm Mecaro said on Monday it will acquire semiconductor special valve maker KVTS.
KVTS was founded in 2016 and has grown an average 18.8% per year up to 2019. It produces semiconductor valves, RTP lamp housing and HOT N2 and supply them to global semiconductor and solar fuel cell companies.
Mecaro produces heater block used to supply heat to wafers as well as precursors used for thin film deposition.
Mecaro said it will use KVTS’s core technology to strengthen its heater block’s competence.
It will also use its sales channels to offer the special valves to customers.
Mecaro also named Kim Seung-hee, formerly an engineer at SK Hynix, as the new CEO of KVTS.
