Hyundai Motor will install Nvidia Drive-based connected car operating system (ccOS) in all its car models launching in 2022.
The OS will be applied to all Hyundai, Kia and Genesys brand cars, from the entry level to the premium level.
Hyundai and Nvidia has been collaborating on the technology since 2015. The South Korean autogiant was able to develop its own ccOS using artificial intelligence (AI)-based Nvidia Drive.
The operating system is already in use in Genesys GV80 and G80 and used to offer infotainment system.
The OS supports high-performance computing such as deep learning; seamless computing that uses surrounding infrastructure; intelligent computing that recognizes the driver’s intent; and secure computing that monitors network inside and outside of the car, Hyundai said.
Hyundai was also collaborating on a digital integrated cockpit with Nvidia. Cockpit combines infortainment, cluster and headup display to one system. The cockpit will be unveiled near the end of 2021, the autogiant said.
