
LED company Semicon Light said on Tuesday that it has singed a UV-C LED distribution deal with Japanese trading company Inabata.
The South Korean LED maker said, besides this agency deal, it will sign an annual supply deal with Inabata to expand into the US, Europe and Japan.
Inabata’s annual sales is around 7 trillion won.
In September, Semicon Light signed a distribution deal with Serial Microelectronics HK to expand into Greater China. Serial Microelectronics distributes semiconductor components in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. It boasts around 1.8 trillion won in sales per year.
Semicon Light has been supplying its UV-C LED to Coway and others after signing a distribution deal with Serial Microelectronics Korea last year.
A Semicon Light spokesperson said it is hoping sales from overseas increase from its recent distribution deals.
