LG Uplus said on Sunday that it has used re-configurable optical add-drop multiplexer (ROADM) made by US’ Ciena to build backbone network for the enterprise.
The ROADM uses flexible grid and supports up to expansion of 600GB. This is six times the previous network’s 100GB.
LG Uplus the new backbone network will allow it to offer stable network for its enterprise customers at a time when data traffic is rapidly increasing due to remote work caused by the pandemic.
The network is also convenient for companies to connect with their data centers.
