Samsung said Wednesday that it will hold its Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea in late July.
The event that will unveil its newest foldable smartphones will be held at COEX and is expected to take place on July 27.
It is the first time that Samsung is holding an Unpacked event, where it unveils its latest flagship smartphones, in South Korea.
“The foldable category embodies Samsung’s philosophy of delivering breakthrough innovation that pushes boundaries to reshape the future of mobile experiences,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Experience Business at Samsung, said in a statement.
“Hosting Unpacked in Seoul holds great significance both as it is a city that has become an emerging epicenter of innovation and culture as well as the foldable category,” he added.
According to analyst firm Counterpoint Research, in 2022, the adoption rate for foldable phones was 13.6% in South Korea.
