Samsung is expected to launch its new foldable series faster than last year.
The South Korean tech giant is planning to start production of components that will be used in Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in early May, sources said.
This is two to three weeks earlier than when it did so for the Galaxy Z 5 series, when component production began in late May.
Galaxy Z 5 series was unveiled on August 11 so its successor will likely launch in July, given the change in the production timeline.
Meanwhile, the budget model for Galaxy Z Fold 6 is also expected to launch two to three months later afterward, around September to October. This means it will coincide with Apple’s launch of iPhone 16.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 is being designed to be thinner than Fold 5 while the budget model for Fold 6 will be even thinner than that.
However, the budget model of Fold 6 won’t support a stylus.
