KT, Hyundai Motor Group and Incheon Airport Corporation will collaborate to create an urban air mobility (UAM) map.
KT and its partners will co-develop and unmanned aerial system traffic management system so that vehicles on the ground and various drones on the air can be synced together.
Hyundai Motor Group will make the aerial vehicles for testing while affiliate Hyundai Engineering & Construction will build the vertiport.
KT will oversee the development of the system itself.
The carrier said South Korea’s UAM market is expected to be worth 13 trillion won in the year 2040.
